A multi-sensory element that helps calm the mind and nurture the spirit.
Vibroacoustic Therapy, or VAT, is a deep tissue low-frequency sound massage using audio waves of 30Hz-120 Hz that are transmitted to the body by embedded transducers in the bed. The sound gently permeates the cells, allowing massage from inside and out. Because our bodies are approximately 60%-70% water, water transmits sound and vibrations perfectly to our bodies. While floating in incredible comfort on the water waves, your body is bathed in soothing sound and relaxing vibroacoustic vibrations.
VAT can be used as an independent therapy or can be combined with massage and bodywork, Reiki, or other energy healing therapies. It serves as a natural energy booster and pain reliever, offering various frequency therapy solutions that can be used as a self-management tool. This makes it beneficial for individuals with chronic or special needs, as well as anyone experiencing stress who wants to pursue preventive and integrative wellness therapy.
Researchers worldwide, including the National Institutes of Health (NIH), have studied VAT. The NIH has reported benefits of using VAT for conditions such as Parkinsonʼs, PTSD, anxiety, physical injuries, brain function, COPD, asthma, and more.
Some benefits of VAT include:
How VAT Affects the Body
Vibroacoustic therapy (VAT) uses the oscillation of the human nervous system to target specific muscle groups. VAT utilizes resonance frequency programs that have been experimentally proven to have positive effects on patients, such as relaxation, stimulation, and pain relief. Extensive research has allowed us to understand how to effectively apply these programs.
What should I expect at my VAT visit?
Enter a dream-like state to help reduce stress. Your therapist will begin by having you lie down on our warm water treatment bed topped with a weighted or regular blanket. Then, your therapist will choose the frequencies and music to address the indicated issues and turn on the equipment.
You will begin to feel the gentle vibrational frequencies through the water bed and hear soothing music. Then, your therapist will walk you through a guided relaxation of your choice to help you unwind and relax. It usually takes about 20 minutes for the relaxation response to begin in the body.
Clients often report feeling many pleasant sensations. Abstract thinking slows, and body and mind awareness expands. Some people experience a dream-like or deep meditative state. Others fall asleep, experience clarity and new insight, and feel relief from pain or symptoms.
Your therapist will gently turn down the vibrational frequencies and music when the session is over.
Experiential, multi-sensory wellness approaches can be offered as a standalone service or as an enhancement to existing treatments, providing clients with a unique, profound, impactful experience.
Vibroacoustic Therapy Sessions can be booked in the following time increments. Please remember that it typically takes about 15 minutes for the mind and the body to align with the frequency/purpose of your chosen session.

Packages are sold for 30-minute or 60-minute sessions. Please note that some sessions in these time ranges can be several minutes longer or several minutes shorter.

The practice of healing through sound is thousands of years old and has deep roots in cultures around the world. A sound bath is a meditative experience in which participants are "bathed" in sound waves produced by various instruments, including gongs, singing bowls, percussion, chimes, rattles, tuning forks, and even the human voice.
The primary intention of a sound bath is to create a state of harmony in the listener by using sound to clear discordance from their energy fields. Some benefits include relaxation, an increased sense of well-being, expanded awareness, and access to inner visionary experiences.
Sound therapy is based on scientific principles, including quantum physics and sacred geometry. Numerous clinical trials and peer-reviewed studies support the healing properties of sound. Sound baths can be particularly beneficial for pregnant individuals, for prehab and rehab, as well as for people of all ages who may be experiencing illness, trauma, or other challenges.
During a sound bath, as you focus on listening, your brainwaves may slow down, shifting from a more active state to a relaxed or even dreamlike state. The sounds introduced during the session invite you into a deeper level of consciousness, allowing you to unplug from external stimuli and gain insight into your internal experiences. The goal is to foster deep rest and relaxation while promoting self-inquiry and self-discovery.
**Six Benefits of Sound Bath Meditation:**
Sound bath meditation can provide numerous benefits for both physical and mental health. Whether you seek relief from physical pain, emotional distress, or peace of mind, sound baths may help engage the body’s healing capabilities and nurture your well-being.
1. **Stress Reduction and Anxiety Relief:**
The resonant frequencies produced by the instruments may directly interact with the body’s energy centers, helping to dissipate stress and anxiety by shifting the nervous system from the fight-or-flight response to a state of rest.
2. **Improved Sleep Quality:**
Sound bath meditation may assist with insomnia and sleep disturbances, promoting deep relaxation that makes it easier for the body to transition into sleep. Many people find that regular sound baths help regulate their sleep patterns and reduce sleep-related issues.
3. **Enhanced Mental Clarity and Focus:**
A sound bath can help clear away the clutter of incessant thoughts and worries, improving concentration and focus.
4. **Deepened Meditation and Spiritual Insight:**
The vibrations of sound baths can facilitate a connection with the subconscious mind, allowing for inner exploration and self-discovery. Some participants report experiencing profound insights or epiphanies during the session.
5. **Physical Healing and Pain Relief:**
Sound bath meditation is thought to stimulate circulation and enhance immune response, promoting the healing of tissues and cells. Individuals with chronic pain conditions, such as arthritis or fibromyalgia, often report a reduction in symptoms.
6. **Emotional Release and Healing:**
Sound baths create a safe space for emotional exploration. The powerful sound waves can facilitate the release of emotions, helping individuals heal from past traumas or cope with grief.
**What to Expect During the Sound Bath:**
The session typically begins with softer sounds that gently guide participants into a more introspective state. The practitioner layers and modulates the sounds, using deep, resonant gong vibrations that fill the space, along with the crystal-clear tones of singing bowls. Chimes may add a lighter touch to the soundscape.
**Individual Experiences and Reactions:**
A sound bath can be a deeply personal experience. Some individuals enter a meditative state easily, while others may focus on the physical sensations of sound waves moving through their bodies. Participants often report feelings of joy, sadness, or peace, and may experience physical reactions such as tingling sensations or a sense of lightness.
A sound bath typically lasts between 60 and 90 minutes. As the session concludes, the intensity and volume of the sounds gradually decrease, gently guiding participants back to their usual state of awareness. There is often a period of silence before individuals are invited to slowly awaken, stretch, and sit up.
**After the Sound Bath:**
Once the sound bath concludes, there may be a moment for reflection or sharing. This time allows participants to rehydrate—as sound therapy is believed to release toxins from the body—and to ground themselves before returning to the outside world.
